Softbank Hawks 's Yugo Maeda pitched seven scoreless no walk, allowing only five hit and no runs, securing his fifth win of the season without a loss. With ample run support from his teammates, he shut down Nippon-Ham lineup with an excellent tempo, strike throwing strikes, and his pitch count was just 99.

Following his fourth win against Yakult Swallows on the 13th (at Mizuho PayPay Dome), he pitched a career-high seven innings.

Maeda, who joined the team from Osaka Toin High School as the first overall pick in the 2023 draft, recorded his first professional win last season, ending with a 1-1 record. This season, he joined the starting rotation in May.
