◆ Pacific League Nippon-Ham 7-10 Softbank Hawks (20th, ES CON FIELD)

Softbank Hawks took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning. In the third inning, Masaki hit his 7th solo home run, and in the fifth inning, Kondo hit his 14th home run, a three-run shot, extending their lead to six runs. In the bottom of the fifth inning, starting pitcher Stewart faltered and gave up three runs, but in the sixth inning, Yanagimachi hit an RBI doble and Kondo hit his 15th home run, a three-run shot, in his second consecutive at-bat, to put the game out of reach. "I think it's the result of being able to concentrate well on my hitting," said Kondo, who had a spectacular game with seven RBI for the first time in his career.

On the 19th, their winning streak against Nippon-Ham came to an end at eight games, but in the second game of the three-game series, their offense rallied with 13 hit 10 runs.
