Rakuten Eagles captain Daichi Suzuki spoke to reporters after the final interleague game and commented on the appointment of new manager Yoshii.

Although he did not play in the match that day, he revealed that he had watched the press conference announcing his appointment as manager on video, and expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "I feel that he accepted the position with incredible determination. What we need to do remains the same, so I will do my best."

The team will be playing under manager Yoshii's leadership starting with the game against Lotte on the 19th (at ZOZO Marine Stadium), when the league season resumes. "We're not going to give up, and we're going to take each game seriously. And with baseball starting again under manager Yoshii, we're feeling a sense of excitement," he said, looking ahead.
