Seibu Lions outfielder Shinya Hasegawa had a great performance, going 2-At Bat-4 hit, bringing his interleague batting average to .367 and putting him ahead of The Giants' Matsumoto at the top of the standings.

In the first inning with two outs, he hit hit to left field, the team's first hit the game, and in the eighth inning with one out, he hit an infield hit.
