Rakuten Eagles lost a close game to Hiroshima, suffering their second consecutive defeat.

Starting pitcher Fujii had a shaky start. In the first inning, he gave up a solo home run to Omori, conceding the first run. In the second inning, with one out and runners on first and third, he allowed sacrifice fly to Fabian, extending the lead.
