Orix Buffaloes Buffaloes outfielder Ryoma Ikeda joined the team's pre-game practice on the 12th, ahead of their game against Hanshin Tigers Tigers. Drafted in the 5th round in 2021 from Osaka Toin High School, he played in 50 games in the farm league this season, his fifth as a professional, with a batting average of .210, 3 Home Run, and 18 RBI.
In the 2023 Japan Series against Hanshin Tigers, right-handed hitter started as the leadoff left fielder. If registered as an active player, it will be his first in two years.
