In the sixth inning, with the score still 0-0, Reyes hit a single to right field with two outs and runners on first and second, loading the bases with one bases loaded. Nomura then hit sacrifice fly to right field, breaking the deadlock. Castro followed with an RBI single to right field, giving them a two-run lead. They added another run in the eighth inning.
