Orix Buffaloes ・ Shuna Hori catcher has joined the first team. The 20-year-old, who joined the team as the fourth-round draft pick in 2023 from Hōtoku Gakuen, is expected to be a future candidate for the starting catcher position. He appeared in 21 games in the farm league, posting a batting average of .296.

The team won their first series in three series against Yakult on the 10th (Kyocera Dome Osaka), putting them in third place in the Pacific League with a five-game lead. Among catcher, Tomoya Mori is currently sidelined due to an upper body injury.
