Lotte suffered a crushing defeat, giving up double-digit runs for the second time this season. They lost five straight games in a series where a win would have brought them back to a .500 winning percentage, failing to eliminate their deficit.

Starting pitcher Mouri (Meiji University), the team’s second-round draft pick, pitched a career-shortest three innings and was pulled after giving up a career-worst nine hit and ten runs, suffering his third loss. After leaving the game, he apologized, saying, “I’m sorry things turned out this way right from the start.”

In the first inning, he made a timely doble down Ukai's left field line, and Hosokawa doble two runs. Takashi Ishikawa's fourth homer and a two-run homer made it 5 runs. Twice in the sano sacrifice fly and one runs. In the third inning, Takashi Ishikawa hit a hit to left, creating a one-out-bases loaded crisis, and Ukai hit his fifth bases loaded homer, giving up a total of 10 runs.

The lineup was Chunichi Starting right-handed Sakurai (Tohoku Fukushi University), the 2nd round of the draft, led to the 4th inning, and Yamaguchi hit his 7th solo homer. In the 7th inning, Yasuda and Tomosugi scored two runs with timely hits, but the heavy early runs weighed heavily on them.
