Nippon-Ham 's starting pitcher, Takayuki Kato, showcased a brilliant left-foot trap.
In the second inning, Watari, the leadoff batter, hit a ball that went towards Kato Taka's feet. He connected with the sole of his left foot's spike, and the ball rolled towards first base.
Takashi Kato calmly chased after the ball, caught it directly with his left hand, and tossed it to first base. He successfully got the out and was all smiles.
