Orix Buffaloes announced that they will hold "Potato Day" events for their games against Lotte on July 26th and Rakuten Eagles on August 6th (both at Kyocera Dome Osaka). Calbee is the special sponsor, and the events will be held as "Potato Day supported by Calbee". If you bring a potato on the day, you will be able to purchase a discounted game ticket called a "Potato Discount Ticket".

The annual fan voting project, "Ori-Baron," will also be held. This year, Japan will be divided into four areas, including the Kinki and Hokuriku regions, and one "Ori-Baron" will be selected from players from each area, named after a regional potato chip brand.
