Seibu Lions Hiroshi Kaino pitcher Hiroshi Kainō achieved his 100th career hold on the 7th.

This hard-throwing pitcher joined Softbank Hawks in 2018 as the first overall pick in the draft, after graduating from Toyo University Himeji High School and Toyo University. He transferred to Seibu Lions in the offseason of 2023. He recorded 41 hold with Softbank Hawks and 59 with Seibu Lions, and in his 249th game in his 8th professional season, he became the 56th player in professional baseball history to reach 100 hold. He repeatedly expressed his gratitude to those who have supported him, saying, "It's not just my own strength, so I'm just grateful," and renewed his resolve, saying, "I want to keep working hard, thinking of this as just a stepping stone."
