Lotte drew their second consecutive extra inning against The Giants in 12 innings. With one loss and two draws in this series, they have a losing record for the first time in two series since their series against Hanshin Tigers.

In the bottom of the ninth inning, with two outs and no runner on base and trailing by one run, substitute Yasuda hit a game-tying solo home run to the middle of the right-field stands off The Giants' closer, Martinez.
