Lotte's Haruya Tanaka pitcher (22) started the game, pitching 5 innings and throwing 66 pitches. He allowed 5 hit, 1 Walk, and 2 strike out, while giving up no runs. In his 22nd birthday start, he earned the right to his second win before leaving the game, but second reliever Sawada allowed a game-tying home run to Oshiro in the 6th inning, preventing him from securing the victory.

He got out of a no-out situation in the third inning bases loaded and a two-out situation with runners on first and third in the fifth runs pitch. “There were some tight spots, but I was able to maintain a good tempo, and I’m glad I kept the game scoreless (runs). Now I’ll just cheer for the team so they can win,” he said, shifting his focus.
