Softbank Hawks pitcher Yugo Maeda left the game after giving up one runs in five innings.

In his fifth appearance of the season, the left-hander faced a bases-loaded, one-bases loaded in the first inning after issuing two Walk and hit. He then walked Hummel, the fifth batter, to force in a Walk, but managed to get the next batters out, closer the runs to just one run.

From the second inning onward, he retired all three batters in four consecutive inning, preventing runner. With a brilliant pitch story, they drew the momentum forward. "The first inning ended up like that, but from the second inning onward, I was able to switch to pitching. I was conscious of the rhythm of pitch and thought I could connect to the offense even a little. After the second time, I think I was able to pitch my own.
