◆Nippon Life Interleague Series 2026: DeNA Softbank Hawks (June 6, Yokohama)

Softbank Hawks Hawks catcher Yudai Yamamoto has been removed from the active roster. After the game against the DeNA BayStars on the 5th (in Yokohama), manager Kokubo revealed that Yamamoto had suffered a stress fracture in his left hamate bone and said he would remove him from the active roster on the 6th.

He joined the team via trade from DeNA on May 12 and has appeared in 14 games so far. Most recently, he started as the No. 5 batter (catcher) in the game against the Chunichi on the 3rd (at Vantelin Dome), but complained of pain in his left wrist during his at-bat in the seventh inning and was removed from the game.He subsequently underwent tests at a hospital in Nagoya and traveled with the team to the game against DeNA on the 5th (in Yokohama). However, he was not included in the active roster.

Still, Manager Kokubo mentioned, "I'll be accompanying you next week as well. I have plenty of information about Central League." He will give back to the team the experience he has gained since turning pro in 2018.
