Rakuten Eagles announced on the 2nd that infielder Daichi Suzuki has been appointed captain.

Suzuki has experience as the team captain of the Lotte Marines from 2014 to 2017. Rakuten Eagles is currently in last place with a record of 19 wins, 32 losses, and 1 tie, and the gap between them and fifth-place Lotte has widened to 5.5 games.

Suzuki will lead the team as the new captain.
