On June 2nd, Seibu Lions announced that Mizuki Yamashita, who plays the lead role of Akari Naruse in the stage play "Naruse Goes to Conquer the World," will throw the ceremonial first pitch at their game against Hiroshima on June 10th at Belluna Dome.

The stage play "Naruse Goes to Conquer the World," starring Yamashita, is the first stage adaptation of the hugely popular novel series that has sold over 2.2 million copies and won the 2024 Japan Booksellers' Award. This will be Yamashita's first time starring in a stage play on his own.
