​Jerry pitcher, the starter, got his second win of the season with 5 hit no runs in 81 pitches in 6 innings, and on the batting line Tomoya Mori players had 3 hit 3 RBI successes and a 5-1 win win in the first game of a three-game series against Saitama Seibu Lions in first place Orix Buffaloes. It was the team's 26th win of the season, marking the 100th win in Kishida's career.

After winning three consecutive league championships, the team slumped to fifth place in the 2024 season. Orix Buffaloes Kishida took over as manager from the 2025 season and was tasked with rebuilding the team. In his first year as manager, the team went 74-66 with a .529 winning percentage and Pacific League 3rd place finish in the CS. This season, the team is 26-18 and currently in first place.
