Seibu Lions and Rikkyo University's Faculty of Sports and Wellness announced that they have signed a "Basic Agreement on Cooperation" on April 23, 2026, as part of Saitama Seibu Lions' community activities initiative, "L-FRIENDS."

The aim is to contribute to the development of local communities and the improvement of citizen welfare by effectively utilizing the human and intellectual resources of each party and working together on projects. Specifically, it aims to contribute to the community and society by focusing on areas such as "regional development," "sports promotion," and "educational promotion."

Seibu Lions Lions President Okumura commented, "In particular, we would like to actively incorporate the fresh sensibilities unique to students into our marketing strategies and event planning, and together create new value for the local community."
