◆Nippon Life Interleague Series 2026: Hiroshima vs. Lotte (27th, Mazda Stadium)

Lotte's second-round draft pick, pitcher Kaito Mori (22) from Meiji University, made his first start in the interleague series, throwing 46 pitches over three innings, giving up four hit and two runs before being relieved. He was unable to secure his first interleague win and his third win of the season.

In the first inning, they allowed an infield single to Oomori, the leadoff hit, but managed to shut down the subsequent batters. However, in the second inning, with two outs, Mochimaru hit a solo home run to right field, giving the opposing team the lead. In the third inning, they allowed an infield hit to Yano, putting a runner on second with two outs, and then gave up a timely single to center field to Nahara, allowing the second run to score.

In the fourth inning, with two outs and a runner on first base, he came up to bat but was replaced by pinch hitter Oka. His first win since the game Seibu Lions on May 3rd will have to wait until his next appearance.
