Orix Buffaloes The first appearance of the season for Yutaro Sugimoto outfielder was a substitute appearance in the sixth inning with a three-run lead, and he missed struck out from Iwata, an irregular lefty. 2 balls 2 strike and couldn't get a hand on a straight ball on the outside corner from the top of the first inning.
Sugimoto missed the opening day roster due to knee pain and underwent rehabilitation in the farm league. He returned to action on May 19th. In the farm league, he recorded 6 At Bat 13 hit, including one Home Run, in 4 games. He was added to the active roster for the game against DeNA on the 26th (Yokohama), but did not play that day.
