Rakuten Eagles Soshi Yoshino outfielder Sosuke Yoshino (22) has joined the first team.

Yoshino is a fifth-year position fielder who joined the team in 2021 as the first overall pick in the draft from Shohei High School in Saitama Prefecture. He is a 186cm, 78kg right-handed hitter with high abilities in hitting, fielding, and running. He recorded his first professional hit last season.

So far this season, he has played in 38 games for the minor league team, batting .264 with 3 Home Run, 16 RBI, and 6 stolen base bases. He struggled until mid-April with a batting average in the .100s, but has since recovered. He has gotten hit in 7 of his last 8 games. In the farm league game against Oisix on the 24th (Yamagata), hit RBI At Bat to impress.

Currently, the team is struggling at the bottom of the standings. In outfield, Tatsumi reigns supreme, and Sato continues to be starting line-up starter. Kogo and Nakajima are competing for the remaining spots. Yoshino, a future key player candidate, is expected to bring momentum to the team.
