Orix Buffaloes infielder Bob Seymour has been removed from the active roster. He joined the team this season as a potential power hitter, but has been in a severe slump, going hit in 32 consecutive at-bats over the past eight games. In the game against Seibu Lions on the 24th (Belluna Dome), he went hit in four At Bat as the seventh batter and first baseman. Manager Mamoru Kishida pointed out, "Considering his recent performance, I think he might be having some doubts..." This has led to a major decision being made before the interleague games begin on the 26th.

He made his first start in 3 years against Seibu Lions on the 24th and was KO'd on 20 pitches in 2/3 innings. Taisuke Yamaoka pitcher was also struck from the roster.
