◆ Pacific League: Seibu Lions vs. Lotte (20th, Saitama Prefectural Omiya Stadium)

Lotte's second-round draft pick, pitcher Kaito Mori (22) from Meiji University, started the game and pitched well, allowing only 4 hit runs innings, but he was unable to secure his third win.

In the 2nd inning, Yamaguchi's first solo shot gave us a one-run lead. However, in the 3rd inning, Kojima, who had been a battery partner at Meio University, hit a hit single to center field, and Ishii hit a hit single to right field, putting runners on first and third with no outs. After the fourth inning, he was able to stay in the game even though he was runner on his back, and the pitch result of the third inning was a regrettable one.

After being taken out of the game, he reflected, "That one run was a real shame. If it hadn't been for that one run, I think it would have all been zero, so I need to reflect on that. I need to maintain a good balance, or rather, pitch at my own pace even in a pinch, otherwise that's what happens. I got a little impatient, and I should have been tougher, but that's where it happened. I threw the ball to a spot where even Toshiya (Sato) couldn't stop it, so that's something I need to reflect on."
