◆ Pacific League League: Lotte vs. Orix Buffaloes (17th, ZOZO Marine Stadium)

On the 17th, Orix Buffaloes Buffaloes infielder Masahiro Nishino reached the requirement of becoming an overseas free agent (FA) after serving nine years on the active roster. He joined the team in 2014 as the seventh pick in the draft from JR East Japan, and reached this milestone in his 12th year as a professional. Speaking to reporters before the game, the 35-year-old oldest fielder on the team said, "I'm glad I was able to acquire this right as baseball player. I've always worked hard, and still do, so I never thought I would be able to acquire this right. Right now it's the middle of the season, so first of all I want to do is focus on the season, focus on my own play, and just think about that."
