◆ Pacific League Nippon-Ham 5-4 Seibu Lions (16th, ES CON FIELD)

Nippon-Ham snapped their two-game losing streak thanks to a strong performance from outfielder Franmil Reyes. They moved up to third place, overtaking Softbank Hawks, for the first time in about a month.

In the first inning, with two outs and a runner on first, Reyes hit a go-ahead doble down the right field line, and in the third inning, he hit an RBI single to right field to give his team the lead. In the eighth inning, with the score tied, he hit his seventh home run of the season, a solo shot to left-center field, which proved to be the game-winning hit.

Manager Shinjo praised his slugger, saying, "More muchas gracias (Thank you very much, Reyes). You're really reliable. You get hits, you RBI in runs, and you finish things off with home run. When you hit like that, even if you don't get a hit in a clutch situation, it's understandable if More doesn't get a hit."
