Lotte's Genki Ishigaki made his debut Zozo Marine Stadium on the 9th in a minor league game against The Giants.

Ishigaki took the mound in the 7th inning with the score 3-1 and quickly got ahead of the leadoff batter, Yu Aramaki, with two pitches before struck out on a 139 km/ splitter. He then gave up doble to Shogo Asano on a 138 km/h cutter on the third pitch after a 2-ball count, and Walk Yuki Okada. After two outs, he walked Daiki Masuda to bases loaded the Walk, and then walked Takehi Minagawa to force in Walk before being taken out of the game. He pitched 0.5 innings, strike out 1, hit 1 hit and 1 runs. His maximum speed was 155 km/h.

Ishigaki reflected, "I was excited for today, but to be honest, when I stepped onto mound, I felt like I wasn't quite grounded." He continued, "However, mound at Zozo Marine Stadium was easy to pitch from, and the wind didn't bother me at all."

"Today, I only got a good grip on one or two pitches, so I think the important thing is to increase my power and throw as many high-quality fastballs as possible," he said, emphasizing the importance of fastball. "My theme was to closer the leadoff hitter out, and I did well in that regard, but there are still areas for improvement in pitch after runner are on base," he added, highlighting areas for improvement.

"Going forward, I want to focus on closer the leadoff hitter out and visualizing pitch after runner are on base, and approach the next game with that in mind," he said enthusiastically.
