Lotte came from behind to defeat Softbank Hawks, ending their four-game losing streak.

With the score tied 4-4 with two outs in the ninth, Polanco hit a home run final solo shot to left-center terrace from Yutaka Matsumoto in the Softbank Hawks fourth. The team got its first whitewash since the 3rd Seibu Lions game (ZOZO) to improve to 14-20 and decrease its debt by one to 6.

Starting pitcher Tanaka threw 81 pitches over four innings, allowing three hit, three Walk, strike out five, and giving up four runs. He was unable to secure his second win of the season, which would have been his first since the game against Seibu on March 28th (at ZOZO Seibu Lions Stadium).

In the second inning, Ueda hit a go-ahead solo home run to give his team the lead, but in the bottom of the inning, he gave up a game-tying solo home run to Yamakawa, his seventh of the season. In the fourth inning, with the score tied 1-1, a single to right hit by Kurihara and a Walk to Yanagimachi put runners on first and second with no outs. It was at this point that Yamakawa hit his eighth home run of the season, a three-run shot, his second in as many at-bats.

Trailing by three runs in the seventh inning, the offense narrowed the gap to one run with Sato's third home run of the season and Terachi's bases-loaded Walk. With two outs and the bases still bases loaded, Ueda was closer on a line drive to third base.

Trailing by one run in the bottom of the 8th inning with one out, Sato hit his fourth home run of the season, a solo shot to right field, tying the game. Then, in the 9th inning, Polanco hit the game-winning home run. In the third game on the 10th, second-round draft pick left-handed pitcher Mori will start.
