Sho Iwasaki

Orix Buffaloes Buffaloes pitcher Iwasaki (36) will return to competitive play for the first time in a month and a half in the farm league's three-game series against Hiroshima (at Yuu) starting on the 8th. He had been suffering from lower body problems since the game against Hanshin Tigers on March 24th (at Kyocera Dome). He has been gradually getting back into shape, and on the 6th he was clocked 150 km/h in a live batting practice.

He was traded from Chunichi in May of 2013 and pitched in 37 games as part of a winning pattern. 35 years old, he clocked in at 160 kilograms. I want to come back to the first team even if it's just for a day," he said. I want to pitch in any role and help the team win. Higashi and Udagawa, who are both recovering from right elbow surgery, are scheduled to pitch in the three-game series in Hiroshima.
