On the 7th, Seibu Lions held an unveiling event for the limited-edition uniforms they will wear for their major summer event, "Aofes 2026," which begins on July 31st, at the "Emiterasu Tokorozawa" shopping complex in Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture.

The concept of "Aofes" is "to dye Saitama in the blue of The Lions in summer." The uniforms are designed with a gradient of three shades of blue, inspired by summer night games and the blue summer sky and sunsets of Tokorozawa. Nishikawa, who appeared on stage, commented, "The uniform colors are refreshing and cool, perfect for summer." From July 31st to August 26th, approximately 2,000 Tokorozawa City Hall employees and employees of about 100 shops in the city's shopping district will wear the "Aofes jersey 2026," dyeing the city of Tokorozawa blue.

In addition to Seibu Lions Lions President Manaya Nishikawa, Tokorozawa Mayor Onozuka also attended the event. Mayor Onozuka pledged to work together with the team to make the summer exciting, saying, "I tell my staff, 'When the closing bell rings, head to Belluna Dome!'"
