Softbank Hawks ∙ Chief Coach and Head Coordinator Shinji Kurano pitcher announced on April 7 that he plans to have Hsu Jo-Hsi (Xu Luoshih) pitcher and Tomohisa Ozeki pitcher, who were struck from the roster, pitch in farm games.

Both participated in the pitcher practice held that day at the Mizuho Payday Dome. They are scheduled to practice at the team's facility in Chikugo. Xu pitched 4 7 runs innings against Seibu Lions on April 4, and Ozeki pitched 5 8 runs innings against Seibu Lions on April 6 (both Belluna Dome). Coach Kurano said of the two players joining the second team, "The issues are clear, so we have to clear those issues. I think it is necessary to improve their performance in farm games.

He also mentioned that he could be re-registered as early as 10 days after the day he was deregistered, but that "if it takes too long, we'll consider a gradual adjustment, such as trying to gain something from practice before going into a match."
