◆ Pacific League Rakuten Eagles 3-2 Nippon-Ham (May 5th, Rakuten Eagles Mobile is the strongest)

Rakuten Eagles 's Hideto Asamura hit a game-winning two-run homer.

With a runner at first base with no outs in the seventh inning. Asamura reacted to Hosono's outside pitch two seam fastball. He swung at the ball with a powerful swing and it went the opposite way to right center field. It was the fourth two-run shot of the game. It was the first home run to the right this year, so I'm happy about that. It's been a while since I've been able to do some 'typical' batting. Asamura led the team to its third consecutive win with a powerful opposite-field shot, as is typical of him.

Starting pitcher Shoji threw 123 pitches through seven innings, giving up only two runs in a strong performance. The reliable slugger responded to the right-hander's passionate pitching. After the game, he stood on the podium with Shoji. Asamura said excitedly, "I really felt Shoji's passion, so I'm glad I was able to get a hit."
