Seibu Lions Manager Nishiguchi mentioned Kaima Taira pitcher that he had to make an emergency pit stop in the first inning of the game against Lotte (ZOZO) on March 3.

The manager said that the pitcher's right arm was fine, but added that he might skip a start to his next appearance to be on the safe side.

The right-handed pitcher participated in pre-game practice that day, playing catch and then running around the stadium. Although he had difficulty putting force into his throws during the game due to a nervous system issue, he said about his current condition, "I'm receiving treatment and I'm feeling much better now. I went to the hospital and the MRI showed nothing wrong."
