On the 5th, Orix Buffaloes announced that they have registered pitcher Riku Miyaguni, who was previously a developmental player, as a regular player. His new number will be '65'.

Miyakuni commented through the team, "I'm happy and relieved. This season, my goal wasn't to be registered as a regular player, but rather to focus on improving my shortcomings as much as possible when I was registered. I will not forget my gratitude to everyone who has supported me so far, and I will work even harder so that I can pitch in as many games as possible as a valuable asset to the first team."

Miyakuni joined Orix Buffaloes in 2023 as the third pick in the developmental draft, and this season he has pitched 37 2/3 innings in 7 games in the farm league, recording 4 wins and 1 loss ERA of 2.63.
