Softbank Hawks removed pitchers Hsu Jo-Hsi and Yusuke Ito from their pitcher after poor performances in the game against Seibu Lions on the 4th. Hsu Jo-Hsi, returning to the team after 16 days of rest, gave up 14 hit and 7 runs in 4 innings and was sent down to the minor leagues again. Yusuke Ito, who pitched second, gave up 5 hits, 4 hit, and 3 runs in 3 Walk. After the game, manager Kokubo explained the reason for removing them from the roster, saying, "They couldn't throw strike."
