Rakuten Eagles Eagles pitcher Takahisa Hayakawa (27) was removed from the active roster on the 4th.

When asked about the reason for removing him from the roster after the game against Nippon-Ham, manager Hajime Miki explained, "To refresh? Yes. To give him a little rest between appearances. He (Hayakawa) has been rehabilitating since the offseason. There are various reasons and different viewpoints, but the point is to give him a little break for now."

Hayakawa earned his second win of the season the previous day against Softbank Hawks, runs seven scoreless innings and strike out. He threw a total of 120 pitches. The decision to award him was made considering that he had pitched seven or more inning in four consecutive games since his first appearance of the season on April 11, despite this being his first season back after left shoulder surgery.

He participated in the first-team practice that day, adjusting his condition through activities such as catch practice.
