◆ Pacific League Nippon-Ham 3-0 Orix Buffaloes (3rd, ES CON FIELD)

Nippon-Ham achieved their 5,000th career win, becoming only the seventh team in history to do so, thanks to a strong performance in both pitching and hitting. In their 81st year since founding, the team's overall record stands at 10,775 games played, 5,000 wins, 5,381 losses, and 394 ties. Six other teams have previously achieved 5,000 career wins: The Giants, Softbank Hawks, Seibu Lions, Hanshin Tigers, Orix Buffaloes, and Chunichi.

Chief Baseball Officer Hideki Kuriyama, who managed the team for 10 seasons from 2012 and brought the most wins in the club's history with 684 victories, offered his congratulations. "I am happy that the team has reached such a significant milestone as 5,000 win. Congratulations. I am grateful to have been a part of it as manager, and I still clearly remember each and every victory. The greatness and characteristics of The Fighters are, of course, due to the strength of the players, but above all, it is the strong sense of unity between the fans and the front office. I hope that this victory will be a stepping stone to further weaving the club's history, and I will do my best to make that happen," he commented.
