Rakuten Eagles lost to Softbank Hawks, suffering their sixth consecutive defeat.

Speaking to reporters after the match, General Manager Kazuhisa Ishii (52) was asked about the current condition of Muneyama, who is currently sidelined due to a left wrist cartilage (TFCC) injury. He explained, "He is recovering well and is now able to train using the affected area. I think he will be able to participate in sparring practice soon."

In his second year, Muneyama played in 17 exhibition games, batting .250 with 3 RBI and 2 stolen base. He was injured in a game against The Giants on March 20th (Tokyo Dome) and has been sidelined. The full recovery period has not been announced, but it is generally estimated that it will take 1 to 3 months for him to return to competition.
