Rakuten Eagles outfielder Luke Voit (35) and Carson McCusker outfielder 27) were removed from the active roster on the 2nd.

Voit had been promoted to the first team on April 22nd, but hadn't been able to produce the results he wanted. This season, he played in 18 games, batting .126 with 3 RBI. He couldn't break out of his batting slump.
