Nippon-Ham 's outfielder, Chusei Mannami, executed a safety squeeze, scoring a valuable additional run.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, with a two-run lead, one out, and runners on first and third, they attempted a safety squeeze with a slight push. This resulted in a perfectly placed bunt that went between pitcher and first baseman, and they added another run with a timely infield hit.

Manami recalled, "I was planning to aim for a push bunt if fastball pitch came. A really easy pitch came, so I think I was lucky, and the bunt went exactly as I had envisioned."

Last season, Manami made some impressive plays with his bunting, including a two-squeeze, despite the limited opportunities he had. "I'm really good at it, to begin with. I have no worries when it comes to bunting, and I practiced bunting like crazy in high school, so I'm very confident," he said with a smile.
