Softbank Hawks ・ Ryoya Kurihara infielder hit the go-ahead run in the seventh inning.

In his third at-bat in the sixth inning, Kurihara hit a solo home run to tie the game. With the score tied 1-1 and two outs with runners on first and second, he stepped up to wall for his fourth at-bat and connected with cutter, sending it through the gap between first and second base. The ball went past right fielder Nakajima to the right and reached the fence. Both runner scored, giving his team the lead for the first time in the game. "All I wanted was to get the win for Uwasawa. I'm glad I was able to hit a go-ahead RBI single and perform well at the plate," he said excitedly.

Then, with two outs and a runner on second base, Kondo hit a single to center field, allowing Kurihara to score and extending the lead to three runs.
