◇ Fukuoka Softbank signs a professional contract with Fuga Otake

Fukuoka Softbank Hawks announced that they have signed a regular player contract with pitcher Fuga Otake. He joined the team in 2021 as the 5th pick in the draft from Tohoku Fukushi University, but underwent Tommy John surgery in April 2022 and was placed on a development contract during the offseason. Last season, he appeared in 15 games for the farm team. During the offseason, he trained independently with pitcher Koudai Senga.

This season, he has a record of 0 wins and 2 losses in 6 games in the minor leagues, with ERA of 5.40 over 5 inning.

◇ Hokkaido Nippon-Ham to open "Nanatsuboshi Yokochō Ura-roji Ramen Terrace" in May

Hokkaido Nippon-Ham will open its highly popular "Nanaboshi Yokocho Ura-roji Ramen Terrace" on Friday, May 1st. This year, two famous local Hokkaido restaurants, "Rishiri Ramen Miraku" and "Maruha BEYOND," will be joining the event. There are also plans to change some of the participating stores starting Saturday, July 25th.
