I would like to introduce MEI, Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles official cheerleader "Tohoku Golden Angels".
Born in Miyagi Prefecture on January 10, her nickname is Mei-chan, Mei-san, and her hobbies are music, radio, and listening to podcasts.
MEI, who has been with the company for four years, started cheerleading at the age of three and has been taking lessons at Rakuten Eagles cheerleading school since the fourth grade.
Last season, MEI realized anew how wonderful the job of a cheerleader is. She decided to continue this season because of her passion to "further pursue the Angels way of being" and her desire to give back to the environment that nurtured her. With pride as a graduate of the school, he will use his experience to contribute to the team's win

Formed in 2005, the year the team was founded, this season marks their 22nd year as a cheerleading team. For the 2026 season, they have 25 members in total: 9 new members and 16 returning members. In addition to energizing the stadium and supporting the team through their performances, the cheerleading team also engages in PR activities through appearances in various media outlets and works as cheer dance school instructors, aiming to be a "bridge" connecting the team with fans and the local community.
They also place great importance on revitalizing the entire Tohoku region, and one of their distinguishing features is their active interaction with local people, such as visiting elementary and junior high schools throughout Tohoku and visiting kindergartens and nurseries with the team's official mascot.
