On the verge of a second straight win to move up to fourth place, Seibu Lions took the lead for the third day in a row on a Takayoshi Yamamura infielder swing.

In the 6th inning, with no runs scored by either team, Kojima and An-Ko Lin hit back-to-back singles from first and second to put runners at second and third with one out. Yamamura, who started the game at third base, swung at Ito's high 137 km splitter pitch and hit a two-run double through the middle of the infield defense.

Before the game, the gap between fourth-placed Nippon-Ham and fifth-placed Seibu Lions was just one game. If Seibu Lions win today, they will move up to a tie for fourth place for the first time since April 2nd.
