◆ Pacific League League: Lotte vs. Nippon-Ham (16th, ZOZO Marine Stadium)

Nippon-Ham pitcher Haruki Hosono (24) gave up a single to Fujiwara, the leadoff batter in the first inning. This was a rematch against his "favorite opponent," Fujiwara, against whom he achieved the 91st no hitter in history and the 103rd overall on March 31 against Lotte (at Escon Stadium), but he gave up hit right away. However, he managed to get the next batters out without giving up any runs.

After practice the previous day, on the 15th, he said, "I want to reset and get my focus back. Mentally, I want to be okay with giving up three runs in six innings, and I want to play without putting too much pressure on myself."
