Seibu Lions infielder Taiyo Sato hit his first professional home run, a solo Home Run, on the 15th.

He made his second start of the season as the number nine hitter and second baseman. In the bottom of the seventh inning with two outs and trailing by three runs, he swung at the first pitch from Perdomo, who had just come in to pitch, a high inside breaking ball, and the ball flew straight into the right field stands. It was a memorable Home Run that right fielder gave up chasing.

Sato Futoshi joined Seibu Lions as the second pick in the 2024 development draft from Kanagawa University. In his rookie year last season, he was promoted to the regular team in July and played in 13 games, finishing with a batting average of .167, 0 Home Run, and 3 RBI.
