They ended their six-game losing streak against Rakuten Eagles Mobile and closer their nemesis, Orix Buffaloes, against whom they had been on a four-game losing streak. They had lost six straight games against Orix Buffaloes at Rakuten Eagles Mobile, but finally put an end to that losing streak.
He is also known for advising YG Yasuda, who became a hero after hitting a three-run homer over left field, to change his registered name.
"I had a lot of anxiety about what would happen if he didn't get hits after changing his name, but he got hits in the games I pitched. I hope he'll continue to get hits in the future," he said with a big smile.
