Rakuten Eagles infielder Luke Voit (35) was removed from the active roster on the 10th due to poor hitting performance.

In his second year in Japan this season, he appeared in 12 games, but his performance was lackluster, with a batting average of .140, 0 Home Run, and 3 RBI, and he went 21 consecutive at-At Bat without a hit.

Manager Hajime Miki (48) said, "We exchanged various opinions as a team, and of course I spoke with him as well. I conveyed my wish that he spend some time in the farm system to improve his condition, and he went there starting today." Regarding the deadline, he said, "I hope he can come back as soon as possible, in 10 days," expressing his hope for his recovery.

Instead, second-year player Po Hsiang Yang infielder (21), who is from Taiwan, was called up.
