◆ Pacific League Rakuten Eagles: Rakuten vs. Nippon-Ham (July 7th, Rakuten Eagles Mobile)

Rakuten Eagles 's Kenta Maeda had to leave the pitcher unexpectedly, postponing his 166th career win in Japan and the US.

He was making his second start of the season, looking for his first white star in 3,840 days since October 2, 2015 against Chunichi (Mazda), but showed signs of concern about his right calf after throwing Tamiya's second pitch with one out in the 0-0 4th inning. He also complained of a discomfort after throwing his third pitch, dropped back behind the bench, and was then sent down.

In the home opener against Softbank Hawks on March 31 (Rakuten Eagles Mobile), he pitched 4 1/3 innings, giving up 5 hit, 5 Walk, and 2 runs, showing no signs of his usual control.

Mount, who pitched after a six-day rest, was unfortunately forced to leave the game after throwing 65 pitches over 3 1/3 innings. With temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius and the weather bitterly cold, he was unable to live up to the expectations of his fans.
